We finally started work on the other half of our studio project in October. We built the hallway wall and put up drywall to protect the glass in the live room from debris. The first order of business was to remove the Firechief unit. Once it was out of the way, Jeff removed the closet while Jeremy and I started on the chimney. We stopped halfway so that we could patch the hole in the roof and seal it. Over the next few weeks, we finished removing the fireplace and filled in the floor. |

We removed the old fireplace. Hopefully we can sell it. |

Let the destruction begin. |
Jeff's happiest when he's breaking something. |

Halfway done. |
Nothing but siding behind the fireplace. |
You can see the brick from the fireplace outside. |
Almost done. The last layer was the worst. Thanks Donald. |
We brought the floor level using some Quickcrete. |
