The studio is being built in an existing add-on in an older home(~1960). Because the room is going to be air tight, we had to add a return vent to allow air circulation. The new vent is about 17 feet from the attic door. At the highest point, the attic space in the addition is 13 inches. We had to cut some of the old roof structure (1st pic) to run the vent. The duct was run into a unused closet in the main part of the house.
